The Archbishop's Cup is one of the longest high school football rivalries in Canada, spanning over 45 years. The Vancouver College Fighting Irish took this game 27-6 playing the first game in Empire Stadium since the 30s.
The Irish went on to win the BC Provincial High School Football Championships later in the season for the first time in 16 years.
